Remove Slogod.Worm

Remove Slogod.Worm

Slogod is annoying worm that spreads via removable drives. It is not destructive nor it threatens privacy, yet this worm messes up with various system settings and constantly annoys its victims. Slogod is detected as VBS/Slogod by some security programs.

Slogod opens MS Notepad and displays IT-themed parody of “Our Father” prayer in the French language. It disables Autorun setting for removable drives and it disables “File” drop-down menu for all folders. Slogod also disables System restore. The worm may also hide or render inactive various settings, tabs and options such as “Documents” shortcut on Start Menu or “Hardware” tab for Sounds and Multimedia, Keyboard and Mouse on the Control Panel. Slogod regularly empties Recycle Bin and closes Command Prompt if it is opened. The worm may change mouse settings and prevent user from changing those back to normal. It regularly loads screensaver too.

If your computer started acting weird recently, it might be a sign of Slogod worm infection.
